About Gwen Williams
You know that sometimes you walk into a room and it makes you feel wonderful -- like there is some magic formula at work. When the formula is off, it just doesn’t feel the same.
We are deeply affected by our surroundings.
I’ve always been obsessed with enchanted spaces. I grew up spending time in the wilderness and on northern lakes paying exquisite attention to the details and beauty of nature, with an artist mother who filled our homes with vibrant colors and inspired compositions. Environments moved me.
My school path started in biology for a closer look at nature, led to psychology for a closer look at people, and finally turned to design with a desire to create more beauty and harmony in the world, one home at a time. I studied interior design to build a solid foundation of design concepts and principles, feng shui to understand the powerful relationship between environments and wellbeing and to honor nature as the ideal teacher on these matters, and interior redesign to focus on a real-world approach that is not simply about buying more stuff.
My business SpaceTransform was born out of this journey in 2005 and since then I have successfully transformed hundreds of environments to thrill their inhabitants. This is my passion. Let's create some magic in your home...
I work with reliable interior design and redesign principles, with the timeless wisdom of feng shui, and with my own creativity, energy, and intuition. I come into your home with a literal toolbox, as well -- packed with furniture-sliders, color chips, a sketchbook, and an array of tools. I am prepared to move furniture around until it works, re-hang art for maximum impact, arrange your treasures so they can be truly appreciated, visualize further improvements and recommend new pieces, and do whatever it takes to make your space truly amazing and totally you.
